Addressing the Who, What, When, Where, Why and How of Businesses
Product & Innovation
What are you selling?
Akin to Design Thinking philosophy, we believe product innovation is about creating highly user-centric solutions that are based on empathy and users’ needs. As part of the process, we also looked at creating, identifying and evaluating differentiation and value propositions – not just for the solutions but also the go-to-market (GTM) approaches.
Adapting the “4D” approach in Design Thinking, we look at the product innovation journey as 4 distinct stages:
Stage 1: Discover
Identifying and understanding the current state – the current needs, problems, trends and gaps. This also includes the profiling and sizing of the market.
Stage 2: Design
This stage is about brainstorming, creating and testing the solutions. Brainstorming can be undertaken through an insights-filled and faciliated workshop, while creation can be done in the form of co-creation with your users. Testing different concepts allows you to narrow down the solutions or strengthen the certainty of one.
Stage 3: Develop
This is to finalise the solution before going into a full scale product development. At this stage, it includes getting final product feedback for refinement and validating the success of the solution.
Stage 4: Deploy
This range from providing insights into the go-to-market (GTM) plans for the product launch, evaluating success at pre and post launch to measuring satisfaction.
